Hands shaping ceramics in the Nebu Studio

Ceramics – Pottery Course

Come to our studio in Zurich and learn how to make your own pottery. No prior experience is necessary! All you need is a desire to learn something new and a free evening.

Ceramic Casting

Casting is a classic and easy-to-learn technique. It involves pouring liquid clay into plaster molds to create precise, delicate shapes. In this course, you’ll learn the entire process and have the opportunity to make the objects designed by Nebu yourself.

You don’t need to be a pro yet. Our studio sessions are designed for both beginners and ceramics enthusiasts who appreciate beautiful designs. It’s for anyone who wants to slow down, work with their hands, and try their hand at pottery.

Session 1 – Casting & Design

Together, we’ll prepare everything for the casting process and use glazes to create designs for your pieces. The sound of the clay slip sets the pace of our work and creates a special and pleasant atmosphere.

Session 2 – Glazing & Finishing

After the first firing, you'll come back to the studio to glaze your pieces yourself. We can also glaze them for you if you'd prefer. We'll take care of the firing.

Should I wear special clothing?

Bring clothes that can get dirty - but don't worry. The clay washes out easily.

How do we make a piece?
